Welcome to the online home of Redeemer Community Church! We are a new church plant in Bloomington, IN. We officially launch on September 9, 2012 and gather weekly for worship on Sundays at 10am at the Banneker Community Center (930 W. 7th Street). We are a gospel-centered community on mission.
Gospel-centered: We believe that the gospel is more than just the entry point to salvation, but is the way we make all progress in our faith. Through the gospel, God transforms our hearts and lives, by His grace and for His glory. Because of this belief, the gospel is at the center of all that we are and all that we do as a community.
Community: We believe that the church is not a building or a worship service, but that it is the community of believers living out the gospel. So we will be a community that does life together and displays the gospel to the city around us. We will seek to include our neighbors and co-workers in community with us as we share the gospel with our words and display it with our lives.
Mission: We believe that Jesus calls every believer to join in His mission of making disciples. Every Christian is a missionary, called to take the gospel out into their neighborhoods, schools, places of work, and everywhere they go to make disciples. As a community we want to be instruments of gospel-change in Bloomington.
