Good morning! Welcome to Redeemer Gathered.
We gather together each week to remember God is Holy. He initiates this relationship with us and we get to respond to Him. Let’s sing and read knowing we have a perfect, loving Heavenly Father who “bends to bless us with an unrelenting love.”
Will you read with me:
This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
SONG: Rejoice (Dustin Kensrue)
As we come before a Holy God in worship, we see our desperate need for a savior and so we bring our confession before the Lord.
For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.
SONG: Approach My Soul the Mercy Seat (Jamie Barnes)
The good news of the gospel is the forgiveness of sins and the assurance that Christ’s work is finished.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.
By grace you have been saved!
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Thanks be to God!

SONG: Made Alive (Citizens & Saints)
In Christ, we have peace with God the Father and with one another. Let’s take a moment to greet one another in the spirit of this peace.
“Peace be with you!”

SONG: My One Comfort (Dustin Kensrue)
Let’s commit together to knowing, believing and living out the hope of the gospel in our lives. Will you read with me:
What is your only comfort in life and death?
That I am not my own, but belong with body and soul, both in life and in death, to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has set me free from all the power of the devil.
Therefore, by his Holy Spirit he also assures me of eternal life and makes me willing and ready to live for him with my whole heart.
–based on Heidelberg Catechism Q.A. 1
Go in peace, in the knowledge of God’s power.
Go in confidence, in the knowledge of God’s strength.
Go in joy, in the knowledge of God’s love.
