Good morning! Welcome to Redeemer Gathered.
Each time we gather together, we want to remember that it is God who has gathered us here. He called us to Himself and so we are here to respond in worship to the one true God who loves us. We are here to Rejoice! For we have hope! Amen?
Will you read with me:
The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice;
let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory. For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!
–Psalm 97:1-6, 9, 12
Song: Rejoice! – Dustin Kensrue
Our rebellion has left us in need of a Savior. We often feel the weight of our sin and run from a faithful father. But Romans 8 gives us hope in our guilt and shame and encourages us to come to a loving God honest about who we are and about our need.
We know that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Let us in freedom confess the wrong we have done.
Take some time to silently confess
your sin before the Lord.
Song: Come Ye Sinners – Sojourn
Hear the good news!
Through Jesus Christ forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Song: Made Alive – Citizens
Because Jesus has reconciled and forgiven us we now have peace with God and with one another. Let us take a moment to greet each other in the spirit of that peace.
“Peace be with you!”

Let us commit to knowing, believing, and living out the hope of the Gospel in our lives.
I am made right with God only by true faith in Jesus Christ. Even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all God’s commandments and of never having kept any of them, and even though I am still inclined toward all evil, nevertheless, without my deserving it at all, out of sheer grace, God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had never sinned nor been a sinner, as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me. All I need to do is to accept this gift of God with a believing heart. Only Christ’s satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness make me right with God. And I can receive this righteousness and make it mine in no other way than by faith alone.

Song: In Tenderness – Citizens
Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
